Be a leader in providing Excellent Customer Service to residents, families, coworkers, visitors, vendors, and volunteers.
Supervision of nursing personnel and nursing services to provide residents with a high standard quality of care.
Administer and record medications and reporting any adverse reactions or side effects.
Administer skilled treatments, perform procedures and document results. Report any unusual reactions or side effects and resident’s tolerance to treatment or procedure.
Assist attending physicians or care providers with examinations and procedures. Ensure that all Doctor's orders are carried out promptly and accurately. Notify POA and Physician of any changes.
Ensure that physicians complete required paperwork.
Monitor nurse aide work assignments and ensure that they are done properly.
Complete all required charting/documentation and accurate order entry.
Report and record any change in habits, appearance or attitudes of residents, notifying DON., RNAC, IC Nurse, Therapy and other appropriate persons.
Maintain a positive working relationship with departments in order to coordinate plan of care for resident.
Assist in evaluating work performance of nurse aides, nursing procedures and work rules on the unit as well as completing commendations, contacts and coaching’s as needed.
Complete lab requisitions; consult sheets, X‑ray’s requisitions, appointment transfer sheets and any other forms assigned by the DON
Working closely with the Support LPN, Medical Assistant and Medical Secretary who are responsible for total organization of the charts, Nurses Station and supplies.
Participate and actively adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures to ensure resident safety. Awareness of types of abuse and responsibility of reporting to ensure the safety of all Brevillier Village residents. Awareness of Signs of Pain as well as understanding of Palliative Care and Hospice Services.
Follow shift routine to ensure completion of tasks. Work with other Nursing Staff to accomplish care of all residents.
