Responsibilities:
Supervision Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate cargo operations to ensure timely and cost-efficient movement.
- Manage warehouse and ramp operations, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Develop and present action plans to improve efficiency and address operational challenges.
- Maintain strong communication with providers, ensuring smooth workflow and problem resolution.
- Identify and escalate operational concerns, proactively addressing potential issues.
- Foster clear and effective communication within the team and across departments.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bilingual (Spanish & English) – required for effective communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and chart creation is a must.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literate with the ability to adapt to new systems and technology.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment.
- Experience in cargo and airline operations is a must
Functions for Ramp Operation:
Load Master Experience
Ensure to place and collect all inbound and outbound documentations.
organize cooler on board, supply missing sanitary towels, toilet paper etc.
Liaise with the aircraft captains for any last minute request such as (AIRSTART, A/C, DRINKING WATER, CFP IN ATC etc.)
Report the process of the operation for any delays (fuel, unwieldy cargo, CBP inspecting the aircraft.
Report and act accordingly for a return of aircraft to apron either on taxi or after the aircraft has taken off
Coordination of landing rights and slots
Operational coordination with AVIANCA load master team members
Coordination of emergency and ramp services if required at MIA
Station logistics for aircraft release in case of AOG events
-Providers Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and service providers, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
Identify potential providers and establish new partnerships to expand the airline's provider base.
Team Leadership:
Lead, motivate, and mentor the team to achieve and exceed expectations and targets.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members and providers.
Market Analysis:
Stay informed about aircrafts, industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and potential areas for growth.
Presentations:
Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the airline's cargo services.
Qualifications:
- College Degree, Bachelor Degree is a plus , or equivalent experience in warehouse and ramp operations.

- Familiar with Airbus 330
- Proven experience in air cargo industry , with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of the air cargo industry, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and drive expectations to achieve and exceed targets.
- Proficient in using Cargo Management Systems
- Willingness to travel as required.
