Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable individual to join our paving team in a hands-on role that can evolve based on skill, interest, and performance. This position is ideal for someone interested in learning the paving trade—whether starting as paving support or bringing prior experience operating equipment—and growing into increased responsibility over time.
This role supports all aspects of paving operations, including site preparation, asphalt placement, grading, rolling, cleanup, and equipment operation. We value team members who show up ready to work, take pride in quality craftsmanship, and want to grow within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may vary based on experience level and training, and may include:
- Assist with asphalt paving operations including raking, shoveling, screeding, and handwork
- Operate paving-related equipment as trained (rollers, skid steers, pavers, plate compactors, etc.)
- Work closely with the paving foreman and crew to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production
- Perform daily equipment checks and assist with basic maintenance and cleanup
- Maintain jobsite cleanliness and organization
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Communicate effectively with crew members to support smooth operations
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as training progresses
Experience & Qualifications
- Prior paving, construction, or equipment operation experience is a plus, but not required
- Willingness to perform physical labor in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction
- Basic mechanical aptitude or interest in heavy equipment preferred
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
