American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Tech with at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience, including peripheral angiogram/run-off experience, at a Magnet-designated Level I Trauma teaching hospital.

Work in a cardiac catheterization laboratory at a 874-bed, Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital with a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center

Lab consists of 4 cardiac rooms and 3 vascular rooms
-
Cardiac cases include NON-STEMI, STEMI, TAVR, Watchman, and Mitral Clip procedures
-
Vascular cases include primarily lower extremity angiograms, EVAR, and TEVAR
-
4x10 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
-
Cardiac call: one call night per week and every 5th weekend with a 30-minute response time
-
Vascular call: two weekdays and two weekends per month with a 1-hour response time

No floating required

EMR: Epic (experience required)

Hemodynamic monitoring via Merge Hemo; imaging equipment includes Philips, GE, and Siemens X-ray systems and Philips monitors; Alaris IV pumps; Omnicell medication dispensing; ISCV PACS

Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience, with most recent experience within the last year

Peripheral angiogram/run-off experience required

Active BLS, ACLS, and ARRT-R or RCIS certifications required

License required if applicable

Candidates must reside 50+ miles from the facility to be eligible

At least 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
-
Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

Experience with endografts, EVARs, and TEVARs is preferred; candidates without this experience must be willing to be trained on-site

Experience in IR or in a lab working with vascular surgeons is preferred
-
Department support includes a traffic flow coordinator, charge nurse, VAD team, RT for emergencies, ECMO team, and a code team
-
Orientation includes 1 week before on-call, 2 days of departmental orientation, ACE modules, and Epic testing and modules

Schedules are set on a 4-week cycle; weekend rotation and specific call assignments are discussed during the interview process
-
Travelers are expected to cover at least one holiday per contract, if applicable
-
RTO requires manager approval; travelers may cover each other's RTO, which could result in additional call
-
Green scrubs are provided
