Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Process sales transactions efficiently while upselling menu items like cocktails, wines, or specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
- Handle cash and credit card payments accurately, including processing cash transactions and managing POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, bar area, and service stations; assist with bussing and resetting tables as needed
- Support kitchen staff with basic food handling or preparation tasks when required to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or casual settings
- Strong knowledge of beverage service, spirits, wine, and cocktail preparation; experience with Spirits or cocktail experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and sales processing
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and calculating bills
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in serving alcohol responsibly and understanding related legal requirements (e.g., alcohol certification) is preferred
- Strong communication skills; ability to work well within a team environment including bussing, hosting/hostess duties, or supporting kitchen staff when needed
