Job Summary:
Overland Park Respiratory & Rehab Center is seeking a motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to be a key team member of our therapy department.
Responsibilities:
Deliver speech therapy services in accordance with physician orders, resident care plans, facility policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Complete accurate, timely, and compliant documentation for all therapy services provided.
Communicate effectively with the Director of Rehabilitation (DOR), therapy team, nursing staff, and other facility team members.
Collaborate with nursing, MDS, admissions, social services, and other interdisciplinary team members to support resident care, discharge planning, and overall facility operations.
Help maintain the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of therapy services throughout the facility.
Support resident and family communication regarding therapy progress, goals, care needs, and discharge planning, as appropriate.
Promote a positive, accountable, resident-centered, and team-oriented culture.
Requirements:
Current Kansas Speech-Language Pathologist license, or valid authorization to practice in Kansas through the Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Interstate Compact.
Experience evaluating and treating tracheostomy and ventilator-dependent residents in a skilled nursing or sub-acute rehabilitation setting strongly preferred.
Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or sub-acute rehabilitation setting preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility requirements.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the therapy team, nursing team, residents, and families.

Salary Range: $48-$53 hourly, based on experience
