Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, including wiring, switches, outlets, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Painting and drywall repair.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to diagnose problems accurately and execute repairs efficiently.
- Oversee facilities maintenance projects such as painting, carpentry, and general repairs to uphold the hotel’s aesthetic standards.
- Operate tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical faults.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and asset management.
- Supervise junior maintenance staff or contractors during projects, ensuring safety protocols and quality standards are met.
- Respond promptly to guest or staff repair requests with professionalism and a customer service-oriented approach.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies during all maintenance activities.
- Assist in the setup of meeting room and banquets.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities or residential maintenance, ideally within the hospitality or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on skills in construction, electrical troubleshooting, and plumbing repairs.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and control systems such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Experience using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and other electrical testing equipment.
- Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance team is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively coordinate with team members and guests.
