Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all facility areas.
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and using appropriate protective equipment.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition.
- Conduct detailed sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to meet health standards.
- Assist with custodial tasks related to facilities maintenance, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues to maintenance teams.
- Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large cleaning supplies while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects as needed, including specialized floor care and buffing.
- Follow safety protocol adherence at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage of chemicals and equipment.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques specific to floor care, buffing, and sanitation procedures is highly desirable.
- Experience handling chemical agents safely and knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures is a plus.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices.
- Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with staff or visitors when needed.
- Previous experience with facilities maintenance or porter duties enhances your suitability for this role.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and custodial tools will support your success in this position.
