Position Description:
Responsible for decontaminating, assembly and sterilization process for all instruments, procedure trays and patient care equipment for the organization ; operations of all processing equipment; inventorying and sterilizing linen items needed for the organization and sterile technique.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
At least two years experience in a Central Service Department, Surgery or equivalent preferred.
Must have a General knowledge of surgical instruments, supplies and decontamination and sterilization techniques.
Good organizational skills.
Must be able to stand for long period of time; required to do some walking and lifting (17 to 25 pounds).
