American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a minimum of 3 years of critical care experience, including cardiovascular and surgical ICU competencies.

Works in a conglomerate ICU combining medical, surgical, and cardiovascular critical care
-
Patient population includes TAVR, CABG, CVA, respiratory distress, TNK, GIB, DKA, CEA, sepsis, fem pop, thoracotomy, STEMI, CHF, pneumonia, and hypoxic/respiratory failure cases
-
Specialized procedures and equipment include vent management, HFNC, TTM, IABP, Impella, and CRRT
-
Night shift: 18:45–07:15

13-week contract

Floating is required within the critical care service line, which includes ICU and step-down
-
Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
-
Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience required

Experience with cardiovascular, surgical, and medical ICU patient populations required

Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address

Two professional references required for consideration

Copy of Driver's License required for consideration

Provide critical care nursing to a diverse, high-acuity patient population across medical, surgical, and cardiovascular ICU settings

Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be eligible only at a reduced pay rate
