We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-time Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care by assessing patient conditions through physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews.
Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following proper aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
Assist with diagnostic procedures such as catheterizations, suturing, and specimen collection for laboratory testing.
Monitor patients' responses to treatments, manage acute pain, and adjust care plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Coordinate patient care activities including discharge planning, triage assessments, and long-term care management.
Support specialized care areas such as geriatrics, memory care, hospice & palliative medicine, behavioral health, and trauma medicine as needed.
Participate in emergency response procedures within hospital or urgent care settings, including trauma and Level I/II trauma center protocols.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care across outpatient clinics, inpatient units, assisted living facilities, or home health environments.
Skills
Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth for accurate documentation and medical records management.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges; familiarity with memory care and dementia-related conditions is advantageous.
Competence in performing advanced nursing procedures including ventilator management, tube feeding administration, ostomy care, and laboratory specimen processing.
Ability to handle complex cases involving infectious disease care, critical & intensive care (ICU experience), cardiac catheterization procedures, and trauma medicine.
Excellent communication skills for effective patient assessment, health coaching, family education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law related to occupational health cases; experience in hospice & palliative medicine is a plus.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and sterile processing practices; adherence to NCQA standards for quality assurance.
Flexibility to work across various settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient units, home & community care environments; experience with hospital medicine or emergency room protocols is preferred.
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
