Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures with a focus on roofing and carpentry projects. Your expertise will help ensure the safety, durability, and aesthetic appeal of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Duties
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install building materials using hand tools and power tools to meet project specifications.
- Construct and repair roofs, including shingling, flashing, and waterproofing to ensure weatherproof integrity.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute construction plans.
- Perform framing tasks such as metal stud framing, wood framing, and concrete forming for various structures.
- Apply finishing techniques including trim carpentry, caulking, stucco application, tile laying, and restoration work.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on-site while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects involving plumbing, masonry, welding, fabrication, and other trades to deliver comprehensive solutions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, roofing, carpentry, and general construction site work.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels; power tools including drills and nail guns; welding equipment; and heavy machinery.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, metal stud framing, drywall installation, masonry techniques, and restoration processes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks.
- Prior handyman experience or versatility across multiple trades is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively within a team environment.
