Position Overview:
We are seeking professional, reliable, and energetic bartenders and servers to join our team on a Seasonal Basis. As an Event Bartender and Server, you will provide outstanding bar and serving services at various events, ensuring guests are treated to a seamless and enjoyable experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with a variety of clients, and can bring a positive attitude to every event. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.
Key Responsibilities:
· Welcome customers, listen to their preferences, make recommendations, and take drink orders
· Select and mix ingredients, garnish glasses, and serve beverages to guests
· Set up and break down bar/serving stations according to event specifications
· Check identification to ensure customers meet the legal drinking age requirements
· Take inventory and order supplies to ensure the bar and tables are well-stocked
· Adhere to all food safety, quality regulations, and alcohol service certifications
· Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring accurate charges and correct change; balance the cash register
· Maintain a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment
· Attempt to limit issues related to excessive drinking by persuading guests to stop or arranging transportation (e.g., taxis, Ubers) for intoxicated patrons
· Set up and tear down event-specific bar areas, organizing and cleaning as needed
· Work closely with the Event Manager and other staff to ensure seamless event execution
· Identify potential event inventory needs and manage event-specific supplies
· Contribute to a positive guest experience by maintaining a fun, safe atmosphere for guests
· Follow post-event communication and follow-up procedures to ensure guest satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in bartending and/or serving at events or in high-volume venues
- Valid alcohol service certification (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe) is required
- Knowledge of a restaurant POS system (preferably Toast)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Must be at least 21 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S.
