Provider Services Specialist (CACFP)

Position Summary:
The Provider Services Specialist supports family child care providers through the implementation of the USDA Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). This role focuses on provider recruitment, training, compliance monitoring, and ongoing technical assistance to strengthen the quality and stability of home-based child care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement CACFP, including provider recruitment, training, monitoring visits, and claims processing
- Ensure compliance with CACFP regulations and documentation requirements
- Provide ongoing support to providers via phone, email, written communication, and in-person visits
- Maintain accurate provider data in the Minute Menu database
- Present information sessions and trainings for providers and prospective providers
- Participate in outreach and community engagement activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in family child care or CACFP-participating programs
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse communities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems
Schedule:
- Flexible schedule required; some evening and occasional weekend hours
- Local travel within Onondaga and Cayuga Counties required
