Come Join the team at Hotel Eastport! We are currently hiring smiling faces for part-time retail associates for our Sundaze ice cream shop. This position requires nights and weekends with a starting pay of $15.75 per hour. If you enjoy making people happy, we can't wait to meet you!!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Engage with customers in an upbeat and friendly manner, providing detailed information about our ice cream offerings and answering any questions
· Prepare and serve ice cream orders accurately, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation
· Process customer transactions efficiently, including handling cash and electronic payments
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the serving area, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols
· Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting needs to management
· Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new flavors, promotions, and customer service techniques
· Maintain patient and calm demeanor
· Maintain high standards of cleanliness and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as company policies
· Follow the Villages handbook policies and standard operating procedures
· Follow our hotel green policies
· Follow guest service standards
· Any other additional responsibilities that may be asked by Retail Supervisor
REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· High School diploma or equivalent required
· Previous experience in customer service role, preferably in food service
· Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
· Passion for ice cream and familiarity with various flavors and toppings preferred
SKILLS
· Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems for processing transactions
· Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
