Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Kitchen Hood Cleaning Technician to join our growing team. You will perform professional exhaust hood cleaning services at commercial restaurant and food service locations throughout the North and South Carolina. No prior experience required — paid training provided.
Responsibilities
- Clean commercial kitchen exhaust systems including hoods, filters, ducts, and fans in accordance with NFPA 96 standards
- Inspect and document grease buildup levels and system condition before and after service
- Apply appropriate cleaning agents and pressure washing techniques to achieve code-compliant results
- Affix inspection tags and provide customers with a service report upon job completion
- Assist with fire extinguisher inspections and fire suppression system checks as needed
- Operate and maintain company equipment including pressure washers, vacuums, and hand tools
- Travel to job sites across the Charlotte metro area (NC and SC) using a company vehicle
- Maintain a professional appearance and communicate respectfully with restaurant staff and managers
- Complete jobs efficiently with minimal disruption to kitchen operations
- Keep work areas clean and ensure all equipment is properly stored after each job
Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting (50+ lbs), climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends
- Knowledge of grease removal and fire prevention safety procedures is a plus
- Prior commercial cleaning or maintenance experience preferred but not required
