Landscape Project Manager
Job Description:
Southview is hiring a Landscape Project Manager. The Landscape Project Manager is responsible for the management of landscape construction projects ensuring they are completed on time, to a high standard of quality with efficiency.
Duties:
- Communicate with Business Managers, sales team, crew, clients, and others to ensure a high level of communication, exceptional quality standards, and efficient job performance is consistently met.
- Ensure daily administrative tasks (i.e. inventory review, expense receipts, time approval, time off review, etc.) are completed promptly and accurately.
- Schedule, manage, motivate and oversee internal crews and other professionals (sub-contractors & sub-partners).
- Visit job sites daily to ensure quality and team cohesion and resolve technical issues. Monitor and give feedback to crews to ensure clients’ expectations are met.
- Monitor crew performance through regular observations and project deliverables use metrics relevant to the crew’s responsibilities to conduct annual performance evaluations.
- Prepare and schedule projects – order material, schedule equipment, review job folder documents, perform locates, and arrange subcontractor schedule.
- Meet with clients and design team to review the scope of work and ensure alignment before project initiation (preconstruction meeting).
- Maintain and communicate a change order log for proposed and approved change orders on the project.
- Participate in job performance audit meeting to ensure accurate reporting of costs.
- Perform the process to close out final project completion (ie, final walkthrough with design team, fully signed off punch list, etc) to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Lead and assist with onsite training in proper installation practices to guarantee the quality of work performed meets company standards.
- Work to train crew lead on maximizing job site efficiency to meet production goals while maintaining employee morale and safety.
- Perform seasonal snow and ice removal tasks during winter months. Plowing, shoveling, salt applications, and various other duties as assigned. Supervise or manage areas/zones as requested or desired with direction from snow management team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, with responsibilities and tasks subject to change as needed.
Education:
- Four-year College or University program degree or certificate; or four (or more) years related experience and/or training.
Experience:
- Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Manager or Managerial occupation. Minimum 3 years of experience in Landscape industry preferred. Strong effective communication skills. Time management skills. Computer skills, creative problem solving, personnel management, organization, and customer service skills/experience preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license, and an insurable driving record. Bilingual -Spanish a plus.

Working Environment: Employee is frequently exposed to exterior elements (i.e., pollen, chemicals, cold and heat etc.). External environment with all weather and terrain exposure.
Schedule: LANDSCAPE SEASON: (March – December) Workload will be heavy, during landscape season, you will work between 55-60 hours/week. This may include Saturdays and Holidays as production demands. SNOW SEASON: (January-March) During snow season, you will work a minimum of 24-32 hours/week. This may include overnights, holidays, or weekends as the weather is unpredictable.
