Position Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate and dependable Part-Time Early Childhood Art Educator and Music Educator to support our classrooms. This position is ideal for someone with a flexible schedule who enjoys working with young children and wants to be part of a warm, supportive early learning community. The educator will work alongside lead and assistant teachers to create a safe, engaging, and responsive environment for children, ranging in age from infants to preschoolers (depending on the center’s needs and your experience).
Responsibilities:
Music Teacher
- Plan and lead age-appropriate music activities that encourage creativity, movement, and self-expression. (Birth-5 years)
- Introduce children to rhythm, singing, instruments, and musical concepts.
- Foster a fun and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain classroom organization and safety during instruction.
Art Teacher
- Plan and facilitate creative art projects for children of various ages.
- Encourage self-expression while developing fine motor and creative thinking skills. We encourage process art.
- Prepare and organize art materials and maintain a clean workspace.
- Promote a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere.
Possible Breaker
- In addition to music or art you will be asked to provide some daily breaks throughout the day
- Provide classroom coverage while lead teachers and assistants take scheduled breaks.
- Supervise children and maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive environment.
- Assist with classroom routines, including playtime, meals, transitions, and activities.
- Support teachers with daily classroom responsibilities as needed.
- Follow all licensing regulations and center policies.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education coursework is a plus.
- Experience working with children preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to different classrooms and age groups.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must pass all required background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
Schedule & Availability:
- Part-time
- Flexible hours based on program needs.
- Morning, afternoon, and/or evening shifts may be available.
