Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy tailored to each patient’s needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and identify areas of concern
- Apply pain management techniques effectively, utilizing your knowledge of physiology and anatomy to target specific issues
- Educate patients on self-care practices and post-treatment recommendations to support ongoing wellness
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, patient progress, and medical terminology in compliance with healthcare standards
- Ensure a safe, comfortable environment by adhering to occupational health protocols and sanitation practices
- Provide exceptional customer service by listening attentively, addressing patient questions, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current certification in good standing
- Proven experience in patient service, with a focus on therapeutic massage modalities such as deep tissue and trigger point therapy
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and pain management
- Prior experience working in med spas or similar healthcare settings is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and explain treatment options clearly
- Knowledge of occupational health standards and safety procedures for clinical environments
