We are looking for a focused Senior Accountant to join our diverse team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of the accounting principles and a proven track record of consulting clients on both business and tax issues. As a Senior Accountant, you’ll enjoy working in a team setting, mentoring our Staff Accountants and leading special projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver strategic tax planning for business entities
- Experience in consolidated tax returns
- Successfully manage accounting and consulting engagements, including review and audit services
- In-depth knowledge of income tax law. Will be responsible for all aspects of tax services, including preparation of Individual, Corporate, Partnership, Estates, Gift Tax and Trust Returns
- Possess a positive work ethic and a drive to participate as a member of the team
- Ability to build relationships with clients, focus on understanding their needs and deliver timely and high-quality service
- Mentor staff accountants through leadership and training objectives
Qualified candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s or Masters in Accounting required
- 5 years CPA firm experience
- CPA license required
- Extensive background in GAAP accounting
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in both general and accounting related computer software with preferred experience in ProSystems, Engagement and QuickBooks experience a plus
