Join our dynamic construction team as a Carpenter/Laborer, where you will play a vital role in building, restoring, and maintaining residential and commercial structures. Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for woodworking, framing, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and general construction tasks.
- Perform heavy lifting and physical labor required for construction site activities such as concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, roofing, siding, and metal stud framing.
- Install doors, cabinets, flooring, tiles, drywall (including plastering), stucco finishes, and other fixtures with precision.
- Assist with restoration projects including water damage remediation, mold remediation, water damage restoration, and general building repairs.
- Use construction estimating skills to assist in project planning and material procurement.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to power tool safety protocols and safety regulations on-site.
- Fabricate components using woodworking machines or CNC equipment when necessary for custom projects or repairs.
- Support plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC installations as part of integrated project teams.
- Contribute to the assembly of prefabricated components or structures using schematics and technical instructions.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while ensuring proper technique to prevent injury.
- Assist in the installation of siding, roofing materials, water-resistant barriers, caulking, and other finishing touches that enhance durability and appearance.
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a focus on residential carpentry or general contracting projects.
- Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings accurately.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools (hammers, saws) and power tools for woodworking (drills, saws), metal stud framing tools, and other construction equipment.
- Knowledge of wood construction materials including framing lumber, plywoods, trims, siding materials, drywall compounds (plastering), stucco finishes, and related products.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes for material needs and project timelines is a plus.
- Experience working on construction sites with adherence to safety standards such as power tool safety protocols is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina throughout demanding workdays.
- Background in restoration industry projects such as mold remediation or water damage repair is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to cabinetry or fixture fabrication is beneficial.
- Previous experience with roofing installation or repair projects enhances versatility within the team.
- Basic electrical or plumbing experience can be valuable for supporting integrated building systems.
