Job Proposal | Marina Dockhand & Facilities Team Member (Seasonal)
Position Overview: Lakeside Marina is seeking enthusiastic, reliable individuals to join our team as a Marina Dockhand & Facilities Team Member. This hands-on, outdoor role is available as a full-time seasonal position (40 hours) from May through September, with the potential for continued full-time employment after September.
This position is ideal for college students, individuals seeking a fun and active summer job, or anyone who enjoys being around the water and takes pride in delivering a great customer experience. Team Members play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the marina, including maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities, assisting customers, and ensuring a smooth, enjoyable experience for our slip, boat club, and valet members.
Flexible scheduling is available; however, weekend availability during the summer season is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Haul and transport boats around marina property and storage facilities.
- Assist with launching, loading, and operating boats (if comfortable and properly licensed).
- Support and assist service operations (stage boats, remove/install canvas, etc.)
- Refuel and clean customer and/or marina owned boats as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of marina facilities (restrooms, offices, showroom, service areas, warehouses, etc.)
- Perform basic maintenance related tasks (landscaping, painting, etc.)
- Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers at the dock, helping with tie-ups and addressing any questions or needs.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Comfortable working in an outdoor environment and performing physical tasks.
- Ability to operate boats is strongly preferred, but not required (training can be provided for those eligible and interested).
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive customer-focused attitude.
- Weekend availability is required.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
