We are seeking an energetic and motivated Shift Leader/Supervisor to join our all-day café team at Southern Grounds! In this dynamic role, you will lead by example, ensuring smooth daily operations while delivering exceptional customer service. This is a hands-on role, and will require wearing different hats and working all positions in the cafe. Your enthusiasm and leadership will inspire your team to create a welcoming environment, craft high-quality beverages, and maintain the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness. Oversee daily café operations during your shift, ensuring efficient service and quality standards are met.
Lead and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer experiences through friendly engagement and attentive service.
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, food items, beer and wine with precision and consistency.
Manage cash handling, Toast POS transactions, and cashiering duties accurately.
Monitor food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and cleanliness standards to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Assist in training new team members on food preparation, serving techniques, POS systems, and customer service best practices.
Support inventory management by tracking supplies, restocking stations, and minimizing waste through effective time management.
Proven experience as a barista with strong coffee-making skills or knowledge of the food industry standards.
Kitchen experience is a plus
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse customer needs professionally.
Leadership qualities to guide team members, resolve conflicts, and maintain a positive work environment.
Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and sales reconciliation.

What started in 2016 as a single neighborhood café in Neptune Beach has grown into ten spaces across Northeast Florida and St Pete.
