Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Operate POS system to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Engage with customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and ensuring their needs are met with enthusiasm
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling, sanitation, and equipment upkeep to meet food safety standards
- Manage cash handling procedures, processing cash transactions with accuracy and accountability
- Assist in food preparation tasks, ensuring quality standards are upheld for all beverages and light food items
- Support time management by prioritizing tasks during busy periods to keep service smooth and timely
Experience
- Previous barista experience or food service background is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Knowledge of beverage preparation techniques including coffee brewing and drink service standards
- Experience in retail sales transactions and cash handling procedures is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness
