We are seeking a skilled Facility & Equipment Maintenance Technician to ensure our manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Position Summary
The Facility & Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This position supports production by minimizing downtime while maintaining the building, utilities, and critical manufacturing equipment in accordance with safety and quality standards.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, experienced in industrial maintenance, and enjoys solving technical problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot CNC machines, polishing equipment, grinders, compressors, chillers, pumps, vacuum systems, and other production machinery.
- Install, assemble, calibrate, and test new manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain equipment lubrication schedules and preventive maintenance programs.
- Respond quickly to equipment failures to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and repair records using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Recommend equipment improvements that increase productivity, safety, and reliability.
Facility Maintenance
- Maintain the building's electrical, plumbing, HVAC, compressed air, lighting, and mechanical systems.
- Perform routine facility inspections and identify maintenance needs.
- Repair walls, doors, ceilings, flooring, windows, fixtures, and general building infrastructure.
- Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs and inspections.
- Assist with facility renovations, office moves, equipment relocation, and space planning.
- Ensure emergency systems, fire protection equipment, and safety equipment remain operational.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
- Support environmental, health, and safety initiatives.
- Maintain clean and organized maintenance areas.
- Ensure compliance with lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Properly handle hazardous materials and waste disposal when required.
Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance or facilities maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience maintaining manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of:
- Electric motors
- Pneumatic systems
- Hydraulic systems
- HVAC systems
- Plumbing
- Electrical systems
- Bearings and power transmission
- Pumps and compressors
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely on ladders or elevated platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical school certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or Mechatronics.
- Manufacturing experience in precision machining, optics, aerospace, defense, or electronics.
- Basic PLC troubleshooting experience.
- Welding or fabrication experience.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Forklift certification.
- Experience using CMMS software.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of cleanroom or environmentally controlled manufacturing environments.

Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Work around moving mechanical equipment.
- Occasionally work in confined spaces or elevated locations.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
