Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with expertise in food safety and handling. As a Pizza Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality pizzas that meet our standards for taste and presentation. This role requires creativity in menu planning and an understanding of dietary needs, ensuring that all dishes are prepared with care and attention to detail.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met during food preparation and cooking.
- Manage inventory of ingredients, including ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock levels.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create new pizza recipes and menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including cooking stations and equipment.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality of pizzas.
- Provide excellent customer service by accommodating special requests or dietary restrictions.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food service industry, particularly in pizza preparation or culinary roles.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
- Strong skills in food preparation, menu planning, and culinary techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team setting.
- A passion for fine dining and creating exceptional dining experiences for customers.
- Experience as a dietary aide is a plus but not required.
