Job Title: Optometric Technician
An optometric technician is the information gatherer before the patient sees the doctor. They use instruments and document a LOT of information. Precision and attention to detail are essential. Ability to learn large amounts of information is critical.
Requirements
- Moving/working ALL..Day..Long. Not a job for someone who gets easily overwhelmed or physically unable to be on their feet for 8 hour days.
- Have an OVERLY positive attitude. You will meet all kinds of people in this position. We love and serve all of them. You must be able to work with people of all types and attitudes.
- Be a team player. Communication and teamwork to provide the best possible patient care is our focus. Asking for help in order to do that is expected and open to doing whatever needs to be done to accomplish this as a team is necessary.
- Desire to grow personally and professionally. When you are at work we want someone engaged and excited to learn and grow. This is not an easy environment but is fulfilling if you commit to it and never stop wanting to learn.
- DO NOT BE DRAMATIC. If you are a high drama person this is not for you. If you are very sensitive or averse to hard work, call in absent frequently or lack follow through, this is not a position for you.
- Willingness to cross-train in office roles
