Overview
Restoring All People Support Center is seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide hands-on support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
As a DSP, you will play a critical role in helping individuals live independently, build life skills, and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation to promote independence and well-being.
- Support behavioral health initiatives by implementing behavior management strategies tailored to each individual’s needs.
- Drive clients safely to appointments, community outings, or activities using your reliable vehicle, maintaining adherence to all traffic laws.
- Collect and document data related to progress, behaviors, medication administration, and service delivery to support ongoing care planning.
- Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and team members to coordinate care plans and ensure comprehensive support.
- Assist with household chores or childcare responsibilities as needed to create a safe and nurturing environment.
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other disabilities in home or community settings.
- Strong understanding of special education principles and behavioral health practices.
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques and data collection methods.
- Valid driver’s license with a reliable vehicle for transportation duties; safe driving record required.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and assisting with ADLs.
