Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled LPN or Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing medical support and assisting in patient care within our facility. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of medical procedures, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure/fast-paced environments.
Duties
- Provide medical administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance documentation.
- Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care by preparing examination rooms, taking vital signs, and conducting preliminary assessments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and emergency medicine procedures to assist with patient evaluations.
- Perform appropriate point of care testing as well as specimen collection
- Complete necessary paperwork for patients, orders, and testing.
- Engage with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and provide reassurance during their visit.
Experience
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or Licensure as a Nurse is required
- Previous experience in a medical setting, particularly in pediatrics, is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical systems and electronic health records (EHR) is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for success in this role.
- A solid understanding of healthcare procedures and protocols will be beneficial.
