A warm, welcoming family on the Upper East Side is seeking an experienced, energetic, and engaging nanny to care for their three young children (ranging from infancy to early elementary age). This is a wonderful long-term opportunity for a nanny who loves being active, enjoys spending time outdoors, and is looking to become an integral part of a kind, easygoing household.
The family currently employs another full-time nanny, and this position will complement her schedule by providing afternoon and weekend coverage. The role is primarily focused on childcare, with occasional family assistant responsibilities such as running errands or walking the family's well-behaved dog. The family also employs a weekly housekeeper, allowing the nanny to focus on providing exceptional care for the children while pitching in as needed.
Schedule
- Guaranteed 40 paid hours per week, scheduled Wednesday through Sunday.
- Wednesday & Thursday: Live-out, 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Friday through Sunday: Live-in weekend coverage, beginning Friday at 2:00 p.m. and ending Sunday at 1:00 p.m. The 40-hour work schedule is structured within this coverage.
- Flexibility to work additional hours on occasion is appreciated and will be compensated in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Responsibilities
- Provide nurturing, attentive care for three young children.
- Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, creativity, and active play.
- Spend ample time outdoors with the children throughout the year.
- Support daily routines, meals, naps, and overall well-being.
- Maintain the children's bedrooms, play areas, clothing, and belongings.
- Assist with child-related household tasks, occasional errands, and dog walking as needed.
- Work collaboratively with parents and an additional nanny.

- Comfortable working alongside a parent who is frequently home.
- Strong swimmer highly preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- $1,500 per week for 40 guaranteed paid working hours.
- Additional hours, if requested, will be compensated in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Monthly MetroCard.
- Private room and bathroom provided for the live-in period
Start Date
Early to mid-September start preferred, with the possibility of an earlier start for a candidate interested in accompanying the family to Martha's Vineyard for approximately two weeks this summer.
Pay: $1,500.00 per week
