About the Role
We are seeking a Lead Ignition Systems Architect to serve as the primary authority for our industrial automation platform. You will drive the design, scalability, and long-term reliability of our plant-wide HMI and operational data infrastructure, ensuring high-performance standards across all manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities-
Architect and maintain the Ignition gateway environment, including lifecycle management, redundancy strategies, and configuration governance.

Design high-impact Perspective and Vision dashboards using standardized UDTs and tag models to improve operational visibility.

Engineer robust data pipelines connecting PLCs and industrial devices via OPC UA and MQTT protocols.

Establish and enforce engineering best practices, including version control, automated testing, and comprehensive technical documentation.

Optimize platform performance through proactive monitoring, alerting, and the creation of detailed operational runbooks.

Collaborate with cross-functional OT, MES, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure and scalable system integration.

Provide technical oversight for third-party development to ensure all deliverables meet internal quality and maintainability standards.
Qualifications-
7+ years of experience in SCADA, MES, or IIoT environments with deep expertise in Ignition.

Advanced proficiency in Ignition gateway configuration and HMI development.

Strong SQL skills for managing operational data schemas and reporting performance.

Proven track record of leading technical standards and mentoring engineering teams.

Experience integrating industrial hardware including Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Fanuc controllers.

Ignition Core or Gold Certification.

Experience with multi-site SCADA standardization and enterprise-level rollouts.

Knowledge of Unified Namespace (UNS) patterns and cloud data platforms like Snowflake.

Understanding of OT cybersecurity, including SSL/TLS, certificate management, and network segmentation.
