- Collaboration with the IEP Team or Teacher Team: Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure that students with exceptionalities are receiving the support they need in alignment with their IEPs. Attend IEP meetings (when applicable) and contribute to team discussions on student progress and adjustments to support strategies.
- Supervision and Support: Provide supervision for students during non-instructional periods (recess, lunch, etc.) and assist in managing classroom behavior. Support students with physical or personal needs when required.
- Professional Development: Participate in training related to special education, including behavior management, IEP and/or intervention implementation, and the EL Education model. Engage in continuous learning to stay current with best practices in special education and student support.
