Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Sous Chef/Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision, and consistency, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth shift management and efficient food service delivery.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes teamwork, food safety, and continuous improvement.
- Manage inventory control and food production processes to minimize waste and optimize cost control.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety sanitizing procedures, health regulations, and sanitation standards across the kitchen.
- Assist in new dish menu planning and development to keep offerings innovative and aligned with customer and owner preferences.
- Support catering events and banquet services by coordinating food preparation and presentation for large-scale functions.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holiday shifts. This is a requirement.
Skills
- 2+ years culinary experience with a strong background in catering, and restaurant management.
- Proven supervising experience with the ability to lead teams effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of dietary department requirements, food handling, and food safety protocols including sanitizing procedures.
- Skilled in food service management, inventory management, cost control, and kitchen operations.
- Experience in managing food production for banquet events or large catering functions is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to motivate team members and ensure quality standards are met.
- Familiarity with food industry trends such as menu planning, food presentation, and hospitality best practices.
- Expert understanding of food safety (ServSafe certification preferred), kitchen math, and portion control

Pay: $45,760.00 - $53,000.00 per year
