Job Overview
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking Cashier to join our team at Sakura Hibachi Sushi. As a Cashier, you will provide excellent customer service by taking orders, processing payments, answering phone calls, and helping maintain a clean and welcoming front counter. No experience is necessary—we are happy to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Take dine-in, takeout, and phone orders accurately.
- Process cash and credit card payments using the POS system.
- Answer phone calls and assist customers with menu questions.
- Package takeout orders accurately and efficiently.
- Provide customers with utensils, napkins, sauces, and drinks.
- Keep the front counter, dining area, and beverage station clean and organized.
- Restock cups, lids, sauces, and other front counter supplies.
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely orders.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Perform light cleaning duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- No experience required. Training will be provided.
- High school students (16+) are encouraged to apply.
- Friendly, dependable, and punctual.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic math and cash handling skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
- Weekend availability is required.
