Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Window and Door Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing windows and doors across various residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets quality standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. Responsibilities
- Measure window and door openings accurately using dimensional measurements and schematics to ensure proper fitment.
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute installations precisely.
- Handle glass materials carefully during transportation, fabrication, and installation to prevent damage.
- Install windows, doors, fixtures, trim carpentry, cabinet components, metal studs, and related hardware following manufacturer specifications and safety protocols.
- Use hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and fabrication equipment efficiently for cutting, assembling, and sealing installations.
- Perform heavy lifting safely when transporting large glass panels or heavy door units on-site.
- Conduct quality control checks on measurements and installation accuracy to meet project standards.
- Complete remodeling tasks such as construction painting, framing, metal stud framing, and drywall finishing as needed.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety guidelines at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to interpret schematics and construction plans for seamless project execution.
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with a focus on window and door installation or related carpentry work.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings relevant to construction projects.
- Hands-on experience with glass materials handling, fabrication, manufacturing processes, and fixture installation.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus but not required.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, drills, levels, measuring tapes; proficiency with power tools is essential.
- Experience in remodeling projects including cabinetry installation, frame carpentry, drywall finishing, caulking, and painting is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high standards of quality control in measurement accuracy.
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
