Duties
- Operate laundry equipment such as industrial washers, dryers, and garment care machines to perform laundry washing and textile cleaning tasks.
- Sort, load, and unload laundry materials using push carts or other handling tools while adhering to safety protocol guidelines.
- Use appropriate laundry detergents and cleaning agents to ensure effective sanitation of linens, clothing, and other textiles.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks safely when moving large loads of laundry or bulky items, following manual handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the laundry area by regularly cleaning equipment and workspaces.
- Monitor machine operation for proper functioning, troubleshoot issues promptly, and report any maintenance needs.
- Keep accurate records of laundry services performed, including sorting details, wash cycles used, and special care instructions for delicate items.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and pushing carts.
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents and managing inventory of laundry supplies.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols in production environments.
- Experience with garment care machines such as washers, dryers, or dry cleaning equipment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and quality control.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with residents or staff when needed.
- Ability to follow safety standards in textile cleaning processes while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
