Job Title: Manufacturing Quality Technician
Position Summary
Entry-level Manufacturing Quality Technician responsible for performing in-process and final product inspections to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory quality standards. This position supports manufacturing operations by conducting visual and dimensional inspections, utilizing precision measuring equipment, documenting inspection results, identifying nonconforming products, and collaborating with production teams to maintain product quality. And supports, cross-trained to inspect multiple product lines, follows environmental, health, and safety procedures, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.

- Perform in-process, final, and incoming inspections in accordance with established quality procedures and work instructions.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Verify products meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials and products.
- Complete inspection reports, quality documentation, and production records accurately.
- Support investigations of quality issues and assist with corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain inspection equipment and ensure proper handling and care of measuring devices.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities with some supervision required.

- Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
- Perform first article, in-process, final, and receiving inspections as required.
- Review production documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Reject and properly document materials or products that do not meet specifications.
- Communicate quality concerns with production, engineering, and quality personnel.
- Assist in maintaining calibration records and inspection equipment.
- Operate within quality procedures and environmental, health, and safety requirements.
- Handle materials and various chemicals, safely.
- Complete quality logs, inspection forms, and electronic documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
- Manual dexterity required for operating inspection equipment and computers.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions preferred.
- Ability to accurately use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other quality inspection tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
- Previous manufacturing or quality experience is not required; however, 1–3 years of manufacturing, inspection, or quality assurance experience is preferred.
Working Conditions
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting materials and products up to 50 pounds. Inspection activities may require standing for extended periods and working near manufacturing equipment. Chemical handling requires the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to safety glasses/goggles, hearing protection, gloves, and respirators. Loose-fitting clothing, jewelry, and open-toe shoes are not permitted.
