CED is one of the largest and fastest-growing electrical parts distributors that serves the greater Milwaukee area. Our customers choose CED because of our flexibility and commitment to customer service. We’re looking for a hardworking individual to join our team. They should have the ability to work efficiently within a team as well as independently on site.
What You'll Do
The day-to-day rhythm of this role:
- Manage on-site inventory. Maintain accurate counts of material at the jobsite lay-down area. Know what's there, what's been used, and what needs to come next.
- Coordinate restocking. Identify shortages before they become problems. Communicate needs back to our office so material flows to the site on schedule, not on emergency.
- Track and report. Build and maintain the weekly material status report. Flag shortages, delivery issues, and anything else the project team needs to know.
- Be the on-site face of CED. Work directly with the contractor's foremen and project managers. When they have a material question, you're the person they call first.
- Receive and stage deliveries. Check incoming shipments against POs. Make sure material is staged where the crews actually need it —not just dropped on the nearest pad.
- Solve problems before they grow. Wrong size? Damaged in transit? Missing accessories? You spot it, document it, and get it resolved with the warehouse and the vendor.
You won't be doing this alone. You'll have direct support from CED project management team. You're the eyes and hands on the ground; we're the engine behind you.
Required
- Reliable and consistent. You show up every day, on time, ready to work.
- Detail-oriented. You notice when something is off — a wrong count, a missing item, a damaged package.
- Comfortable on a construction jobsite. Outdoor work, all weather, occasional lifting, steel-toe boots, hard hat, safety glasses.
- Good with basic computer tools. You can build a spreadsheet, write a clear email, and use a smart phone for photos and apps.
- Clear communicator. You can talk to a foreman, write a report, and pick up the phone when something needs to be escalated.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willing to learn. This role grows with the project — and so will you, if you bring the right attitude.

You will be on your feet for a majority of the day on a construction site.
