We are looking for a passionate, dependable, and caring One-Year-Old Co-Lead Teacher who is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young toddlers. The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys working alongside another teacher to create meaningful learning experiences while supporting each child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with your co-lead teacher to plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for one-year-old children.
- Create and maintain a positive, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
- Establish consistent classroom routines that encourage learning, exploration, and independence.
- Guide children's behavior using positive redirection and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Observe, document, and assess children's growth and developmental milestones.
- Communicate professionally and consistently with parents regarding their child's progress, daily activities, and any concerns.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children at all times.
- Assist with diapering, toileting, feeding, meals, naps, and other daily care routines while maintaining proper sanitation procedures.
- Work collaboratively with your co-lead teacher, support staff, and administration to provide high-quality care and education.
- Maintain licensing standards and center policies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with toddlers or in a licensed childcare setting preferred.
- Experience collaborating as part of a teaching team.
- Strong classroom management and behavior guidance skills.
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices for one-year-olds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Reliable, organized, flexible, and passionate about early childhood education.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
