Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Cashier/Store Clerk to join our retail team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, including product inquiries and recommendations
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring merchandise is well-stocked and properly displayed
- Conduct product demos to promote new or featured items, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Assist with merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring products are properly labeled
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions via phone etiquette and in person, ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Support store operations through basic math calculations for pricing, discounts, and inventory counts
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and participating in stock replenishment tasks
- Engage in retail sales activities with enthusiasm to meet or exceed sales goals while maintaining a friendly attitude
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering experience or familiarity with POS systems is preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers in a bilingual environment are highly valued
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, pricing adjustments, and inventory counts
- Experience in retail sales, merchandising, stocking, or grocery store environments is advantageous
- Supervising experience is a plus, especially in overseeing team members or assisting with training new staff
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
- A proactive approach to upselling products and providing product demos to enhance customer satisfaction

Pay: $10.50 - $12.00 per hour
