Western Pipe Services is an outside processor for U.S. Steel. We are currently looking for 2 general laborer's. Position is full time, 8-10 hour shifts (Two paid 15 min breaks and unpaid 30 min lunch), Monday through Friday and most weekends 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Must have good handwriting and tolerate working outdoors for entire shift. Starting pay is $16 to $18 an hour depending on experience and work ethic . WPS will train appropriate candidates.
Job Duties: Daily duties but are not limited to these duties only.
- Tally (write down heats, footage of each pipe) and verifying material matches paperwork.
- Band rail cars down and/or assist in loading trucks, this requires a great deal of climbing and applicant must be physically able.
- Applying stencils to pipe
- Apply paint markings to pipe
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Must have clean and legible handwriting.
- Will be working outside.
