Take the next step in your career as a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) supporting students from PreK through 8th grade in a dynamic setting near the beautiful Huntington Beach area. This contract, full-time opportunity (37.5 hours/week) runs throughout the entire school year, offering the chance to make a difference for students with a wide range of needs in elementary and middle school environments.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current California SLP-CCC license (waivers are not accepted)
- Background working with PreK–8th grade students, with a focus on elementary age
- Experience providing AAC (Augmentative & Alternative Communication) support
- Proven skills working with students with Autism, including nonverbal and those exhibiting severe behavioral challenges
- Competency using SEIS and SEIS billing systems
- Comfortable delivering push-in and push-out services across 1–2 local school sites
- Ability to perform in-person assessments as part of a mainly virtual position (no VOCO)
- Strong communication, time management, and collaborative skills
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and in-person assessments for students referred to speech services
- Develop tailored IEP goals based on individual student needs
- Implement interventions for articulation, language, AAC, and social communication deficits
- Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to support student progress
- Provide direct and consultative SLP services, both virtually and in-person as needed
- Complete required documentation and billing using SEIS
