Scope: Daily interacts with residents, residents’ family members, and all internal departments. General Function: Maintain a clean, sanitary, pleasant living environment for the residents of the center. Duties and Responsibilities: Cleans residents’ rooms, utility areas, closets, offices, lobbies, entrances, halls on a daily basis; Cleans floors, furnishings, walls, windows, woodwork and specified equipment; Dusts, sweeps, dry and wet mops, waxes and buffs, vacuums carpet and rugs, strips and waxes floors; Disinfects and deodorizes as directed; Cleans all bathrooms, scours and polishes tubs, sink mirrors, and similar equipment; Empties and washes waste baskets and disposes of soiled laundry as required; Cleans drapes and curtains; Obtains and replenishes supplies of soap, mops, towels, paper and other items used in cleaning and maintains work areas in a clean and orderly condition; Helps dietary in dining area when needed; Cleans assigned strip room on a daily basis; All other duties assigned by supervisor. Qualifications: Previous similar work experience desirable but not required. Ability to read, write, speak and follow written and oral instructions. Pleasant, tactful, courteous when around residents and cooperates well with other employees. Because of close contact with the residents, this position has been determined to have potential for exposure to blood borne pathogens. Country Club Rehabilitation Center will provide training, information and equipment to minimize the potential risk. It is a requirement of this position that the individual comply with all privacy policies and procedures of the Provider and protect the privacy of Personal Health Information as required by law.
