American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at a short-term acute care hospital in Indiana, requiring active Cerner experience and a minimum of 2 years of PCU experience.

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with day shift scheduling (7:00–19:30, 3x12-hour shifts)

Floating required to Med-Surg and potentially to an affiliate hospital nearby

Cerner EMR — experience required

13-week contract
-
Active IN or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA and RQI formats accepted)

Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required

Cerner EMR experience required

RN degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited university required

2 supervisor references required

SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Indiana residents are considered local candidates and are not eligible for this PCU position

Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract

Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved

Any permanent or PRN employee of IU Health must have a 12-month separation period before applying as a traveler

Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health are required to take a consecutive break to reset eligibility — out-of-state residents require a 90-day break and in-state residents require a 180-day break, effective 2/24/26
