Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair.
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences, recommend drinks, and provide exceptional customer service that enhances their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and sanitation protocols.
- Manage cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; process payments efficiently while providing friendly service.
- Develop new beverage recipes and refine existing ones to keep the menu fresh and exciting for guests.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and communicate with management about stock shortages or equipment issues.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff on food pairing suggestions and support catering or banquet events when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining or high-volume settings; hospitality industry experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beer styles, and beverage recipe development.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple orders efficiently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
- Food safety certification and knowledge of food handling standards are highly desirable.
- Previous experience in restaurant or retail math, cash handling, or banquet settings is advantageous.
