Position Title: Equipment & Fleet Mechanic

Job Summary
The Shop Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a variety of landscaping equipment and vehicles. This role ensures that all machinery is in optimal working condition to support the company's landscaping operations.
Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance on landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and chainsaws.

Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on equipment and vehicles, including brakes, tires and batteries.

Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns.

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.

Order and manage inventory of parts and supplies.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Duties

Inspect and test equipment to diagnose malfunctions.

Replace or repair parts, such as engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.

Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed.

Keep the shop area clean and organized.

Collaborate with the operations team to prioritize repairs and maintenance tasks.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Certification in automotive or small engine repair is preferred.

Valid driver's license.
Experience
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a mechanic, preferably with landscaping equipment.

Experience with both gas and diesel engines.

Familiarity with hydraulic systems and electrical troubleshooting.
Knowledge and Skills

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
