Duties
- Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing procedures to ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and dining areas by sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces, and sanitizing workstations following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Support food handling and storage practices in compliance with food safety management standards to prevent contamination.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food safety, sanitation procedures, and proper manual handling techniques to uphold high standards of hygiene.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitizing procedures is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and repetitive movements.
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with food prep techniques are a plus
- Strong cleaning skills with attention to detail in maintaining hygiene standards.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting culinary operations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
