Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in HVAC/R systems. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The HVAC Technician will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with heating, cooling, and refrigeration units.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and components.
- Perform welding tasks as needed for repairs or installations.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure systems operate efficiently.
- Handle ammonia refrigeration systems safely and effectively.
- Provide field service support, including responding to service calls in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other technicians and staff to complete projects on schedule.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge related to HVAC/R systems.
- Experience with plumbing tasks is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints.
- Proficiency in welding techniques relevant to HVAC applications.
- Experience working with ammonia refrigeration is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; van driving experience is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
