Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our financial team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger adjustments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations regularly to verify account accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist with payroll management using systems such as ADP, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Support compliance with GAAP, SOX and governmental accounting standards.
- Perform data entry tasks with precision using accounting software.
- Contribute to month-end closing activities, including financial analysis, budget variance analysis, and audit preparation.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP, governmental accounting, and non-profit accounting practices.
- Proficiency in financial software.
- Experience with payroll management systems like ADP along with payroll processing expertise.
- Familiarity with technical accounting concepts including journal entries, account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, debits & credits, and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and account analysis accurately under tight deadlines.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing) combined with strong math and analytical abilities.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and experience handling tax-related processes within an accounting framework.
