Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Safety Specialist / Recruiter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be team player who has knowledge in the Transportation industry. This role requires a strong understanding and knowledge of DOT compliance and FMCSA requirements and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide periodic compliance checks for FMCSA compliance relating to the Fleet, to include files, inspections, license, and training
- Assist with ELD compliance, Driver Qualifications, Files, and Driver Coaching
- Assist with Roadside Inspections and follow up
- Assist with CDL Compliance, to include expirations and hours of service violations
- Take Driver Applications in Tenstreet to an Onboarding stage
- Assist Driver Applicants with completing online applications so appropriate background screens can be run
- Communicate with Driver Applicants on pre-employment drug screens and schedule Onboarding date
- Host New Driver Orientation on Safety Topics
Skills
- Strong knowledge of DOT compliance and FMCSA requirements and regulations
- Experience with Recruiting.
- Knowledge of McLeod, TenStreet, and Motive preferred.
- Assign and maintain Safety Training and other OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA training records
- Excellent computer skills using internet-based data bases, to include Microsoft WORD and EXCEL.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills with an attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
